Van eind mei tot eind juni 2016 viel extreem veel neerslag in het beheergebied van waterschap Aa en Maas. Dit leidde tot wateroverlast in de omgeving van Cuijk, Boxmeer (District Raam), Deurne, Asten en Someren (District Boven Aa).
